Urban Stories"i am an architect and photographer aged 31; my main subjet is street photography through which i open a window towards the city and casual people, the unknown silhuettes of the daily life, felt as pure strangers; unknown people but story tellers, spontaneous and expressive, as solitary presences carrying each of them fragments of every day casual life. I see people as actors on the city scene, followed with an attentive eye and sensible listen, as a witness. The stranger become the one who shared a second that i keep as a warm recollection." Vlad Eftenie I had such a hard time choosing the photos for this entry because just every single image in veftenie's gallery takes your breath away. I really recommend you to look at every single photo in his portfolio or gallery... the situations he captures are funny, beautiful, sweet, well-composed, unique and wonderfully photographed. He's close to the people but his photos, but still keeps a kind of distance. Every single picture seems to tell a story. Or maybe more than one. Photos shown: butterfly, Play, fly, white light & childhood games by Vlad Eftenie. A pretty interesting interview would be this, translated by Google Translate (unfortunately it's in Romanian). And definitely check out his portfolio. Ariane Eingestellt von pedestrian-zone 21:30

strangerslike strangers by Vlad Eftenie As time passes by and you look at portraits, the people come back to you like a silent echo. A photograph is a vestige of a face, a face in transit. Photography has something to do with death. It's a trace. Henri Cartier-Bresson Passengers by miqulski by Steve McCurry Have you ever wondered about the people on your photos? Who they are, where they were going, what they're doing at the moment? Street photography is all about strangers. Many say they take photos because people are such an interesting subject. Every photographer somehow connects to the people they take photos of, only for less than one second. Photos are kind of breaking the anonymity... only for such a small amount of time. They give us an insight into someone else's life. This is what I love. Ariane Eingestellt von pedestrian-zone 20:09 Abonnieren Kommentare zum Post [Atom] Older Posts → |
